Founded in 2017 in Stockholm, Mavenoid is the world’s leading product support platform built specifically for hardware and consumer electronics brands. Unlike generic support platforms/chatbots, Mavenoid’s AI-powered self-service and support automation tools allow hardware companies to resolve their customer’s repetitive and complex issues without human agents— saving brands time, effort and money. Mavenoid’s platform enables companies to quickly convert existing product knowledge into highly effective support automation, and also includes remote support tools such as live chat and interactive video calling for more efficient remote support.

Semble is a cloud-based clinical system covering medical and administrative tasks of healthcare providers. Founded in 2017, proSapient is a primary research platform that allows private equity and consulting firms to gather insights from experts around the world via consultations and large-scale surveys. proSapient uses cutting edge technology to match the right experts with the right projects and provide highly accurate transcripts, all of which is delivered within a customer friendly platform. Since launch proSapient have begun working with many of the largest users of expert networks in the market.

Masabi is bringing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ticketing and payments to public transport agencies of all sizes around the globe. Through our fare collection platform, Justride, agencies can sign up to mobile ticketing services, enable Mobility as a Service (MaaS), or deploy an account-based full fare collection solution using contactless bank cards, mobile devices and smartcards. Masabi is the category creator for transport mobile ticketing. With over 50 clients across four continents, the Justride Mobility Platform is the most widely deployed end-to-end mobile and account-based ticketing solution in operation, serving the largest transit agency in the US to local bus operators. Masabi has offices in London, New York, Denver and Cluj.

Adzuna is a search engine for job ads used by over 10 million visitors per month that aims to list every job, everywhere. We search thousands of websites so our users don’t have to, bringing together millions of ads in one place. By providing smarter search options and powerful data about the job market, we give jobseekers the information they need to take control of their careers. Adzuna’s data also powers the Number 10 Dashboard, used by the Prime Minister and senior officials to keep track of economic growth on a daily basis.

Antidote is a digital health company on a mission to accelerate the breakthroughs of new treatments by bridging the gap between medical research and the people who need them. Antidote was launched as TrialReach in 2010 and rebranded to Antidote in 2016. Antidote are based in the U.S. and London and their investors include Smedvig Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners and Octopus Investments.

Profile Pensions is an award-winning pensions advice company, aiming to help millions of people across the UK improve their future retirement income. The company offers a free, no obligation pension trace and review, allowing customers to fully understand their pension, its value, performance and what it will be worth to them in retirement. In 70% of cases it reviews, Profile is able to find customers a better pension and only charges fees if the customer decides to switch their pension. In addition, they offer the option to manage the customers pension on an ongoing basis. Profile has helped over 50,000 people in the UK to better understand their pension and switched over 14,000 customers into better pensions. Profile Pensions is based in the UK with offices in Preston and London and through the use of technology and telephony delivers their impartial whole of market advice, nationally.

Smedvig Capital invested in Mediamorph in 2012. Mediamorph serviced the Media & Entertainment industry as a critical bridge connecting content providers and content platforms in the increasingly complex world of video distribution. Their cloud-based enterprise software and data services help customers optimise content exploitation, maximise revenues and better understand licensed-content value. Mediamorph improves the management of and insight into financial, rights, and consumption information, while streamlining data through customers’ systems and supply chains. In 2019, Mediamorph was acquired by TV Time, merging TV and Film analytics with content distribution. The combined companies operate under the name, Whip Media.

They collect things from your home or office, look after them for as long as you want and then return them whenever and wherever you want them – the very next day. LOVESPACE is a totally hassle-free way of storing – tell them the day you want us to collect your items and one of their friendly team will collect your stuff for free. You can upload photos as a reminder of what’s in each box, and if you need packing materials LOVESPACE can send them out to you. Items are stored in a secure warehouse and because you only pay by the box (or item), you don’t waste the space you don’t need. When you want any of your items back, simply log onto your LOVESPACE account, select your item(s) and they’ll deliver it to you the next day.

Streetcar was one of the early entrants into the UK car sharing market. Through an unwavering focus on customer service they became the early UK market leader. At the end of 2006, the company had established a network of around 200 vehicles and 10,000 members around London. Smedvig invested in early 2007. Streetcar was acquired by global market leader Zipcar in April 2010 for a mixture of cash and shares. The combined company floated on the NASDAQ in April 2011 with a market capitalisation of $700M.

ITIS was founded in 1997 and was one of the early entrants into the then nascent UK traffic information market initially piggy backing its position in vehicle security probes to develop the first ‘Floating Vehicle Data’ methodology (“FVD”), now used widely in the market. Throughout the long ownership of ITIS, Smedvig was a key adviser to the CEO and board and was involved in all major strategic initiatives over the period culminating in leading the exit process on behalf of all the ITIS shareholders, alongside carefully selected professional advisors. ITIS was acquired by the dominant US player, INRIX in August 2011 for £37m cash.

Ocean Outdoor is the UK leader and innovator in spectacular and iconic out of home advertising sites. Ocean fills a unique position in the Outdoor advertising landscape, specialising only in large-format, digital, super-premium locations. Smedvig worked extensively with the management to put the systems and processes Ocean would need as a larger business. Central to this was a rigorous process to filter and appraise the potential value of new sites, marrying Ocean’s deep expertise with relevant demographics, traffic data and financial analytics. Ocean was acquired by Lloyds Development Capital for £35M in cash in May 2012.

Tusker was founded in 2000 as a revolutionary provider for the corporate fleet lease industry. Based on cutting-edge technology it aimed to take fleet management online, decreasing cost and increasing the overall level of customer satisfaction in a traditionally slow to modernise industry. Smedvig Capital sold Tusker to ECI Partners in February 2015 for an undisclosed sum.

Quill is the leading multi-language content production platform for eCommerce businesses, defining a completely new model for high-volume, high-quality, multi-language content creation, based on the powerful combination of technology and talent. Quill produce Primary Content: the critical pre-purchase information that drives online performance, such as product and category descriptions and buying, how-to and destination guides. To date they have created over 47 million words of bespoke content – plus videos and graphics – for 170+ clients, including global brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Argos, Google, Thomas Cook, John Lewis and Louis Vuitton. Their model leverages a highly flexible, global network of 2,400+ freelance content creators working 24/7/365, centrally managed through the Quill Cloud platform: pioneering technology that streamlines and automates complex production and quality control processes to enable a level of efficiency, speed and scale that’s impossible to attain in-house or via traditional agencies.
